The Auction And Fešta
Gavin and Karin bought the house next door at auction today!
Emma, Gavin, Kirsty and Karin. Emma and Kirsty's grandparents used to own the house and now it has been sold to Karin and Gavin. They were very pleased.
The street behind us is looking beautiful with Jacaranda trees in full bloom.
We had lunch at Uleybury Wines with some lovely people from my work. Philippa, her boyfriend Greg, Maggie, her husband Rob, and Jenni with her husband Emmanuel.
Uleybury was delightful and we had a nice time.
Maggie's husband, Rob, Salvatore at the bar and Vincent talking about boy stuff.
After lunch we drove down to the Croatian Centre, where the Croatian Food & Wine Festival was in full swing.
My mum was performing with her dance group.
Waiting to go on stage.
The costumes are from the Slavonia region of Croatia as were the dances they performed today.
A Croatian audience entertaining themselves. Music and spontaneous circle dancing.
Mum's dance group.
There was a TV news crew from Croatia and Channel 9 was filming Out Of The Blue, a cooking show. I'm not sure when it's going to air, but we'll have to watch next week.

Those head scarfs look more Scottish than Croatian!
WOW Karin Gavin and Mason the Dingo-dog are going to live next door!
are Karin and Gavin happy with
her new home?
Beautifull costumes from Croatia,it's handmade a think, Vicky looks happy!!
KEES - That's because due to good advertising, tartan is mostly associated with Scotland. However, it did make it to Scotland later than some other places. The "Tartan" used in Slavonian costumes would date back to the Hallstatt culture.
CRAIG - They will have to sell the house they're living in now and will be able to move in after settlement of the one they purchased yesterday. It's a "renovators delight", but with immense potential and an excellent sized piece of land so close to the city centre.
MARIAN - They are very happy to have the new house. It will take a few months before they can move in. Yes, the folkloric dresses were beautiful yesterday :)
MARIAN: I didn't feel like dancing , but I could not have let the girls down, because we rehearsed it whole year and if I wasn't dancing the choreography wouldn't look nice. I felt better being amongst the friends than alone at home.
