The Paint Job

Super-Adele baked cookies last night and brought them in this morning! Macadamia and chocolate chip.

Our masseur Eric was back again today to work on everyone. Adele looks like she's about to fall asleep. Eric makes everyone feel better.

On my way home after work.

I finished painting the underside of the cocky cage roofs with undercoat sealer. Tomorrow I'll try and paint the roof tops dark green.

The Giant Doughnuts

Heath treated everyone to the most gigantic doughnuts ever seen today.

Linda-the-Boss-Lady and a giant doughnut.

It was Heath's birthday the week before last and he unpacked his present. A book about Australian house architecture.

Then it was time to eat giant doughnuts. Adele was making it look graceful. Behind her are Tamara and Simone.

People enjoying a doughnut break.

I met Vincent at P. J. O'Brien's after work and even they were getting into the Olympic theme.

Vincent watching Olympics on the big screen.

On the way back to the car we spotted our possum friend. He was making a dash down the tree and hurried off to the next one, where he stuck his head into a hole and retrieved food.

Superhuman Olympic feats on the TV.

The Cage Branches

I painted two layers of undercoat onto the bird cage roofs today. It's not something I enjoy doing, but we just want to have the cages done and move the birds into their new home by next weekend.

Vincent was cutting extra branches to fit into the cage so that the cocky can walk up Donkey Kong-style all the way up to the top.

There was also laundry to be done.

Dishes as well.

Back at the cages, Vincent was measuring and sawing.

It's not that visible in this photo because it loses dimensional depth, but the branches zig zag through the cage up to the top.

We also had to buy groceries and the mall was pleasantly quiet.

I watched the light reflect on the floor while waiting on a bench as Vincent looked at magazines in the newsagent.

Vincent on the phone to Richard... no Stephen... Richard? Stephen again? We had the number written down wrong and kept calling Stephen thinking it was Richard.
